The SSS Region of Cardinal Emile Biayenda (Congo-Brazzaville) holds its 3rd Regional Chapter from 7-11 February 2018.
A region comprises a number of communities to which the province has granted a certain autonomy in accordance with the principle of subsidiarity. It constitutes a group of communities in a kind of unit linked with its province of origin and tends towards becoming an autonomous province. It is granted the powers enjoyed by the province, to a greater or lesser extent.
The regional chapter is the highest authority in the region. It is held in order to study the state of the region as a whole and to update the regional project in line with changing conditions.
During the elections held on the 10th of February, the following are elected to constitute the new regional council:
Fr. Brel Daouda Malela - Regional Superior
Fr. Rodolphe Mboya - Consultor and Treasurer
Fr. Frederic Malada - Consultor
Fr. Jean de Dieu Mpassy - Consultor
