Congo: Perpetual vows and diaconal ordinations

The Cardinal Emile Biayenda Region (Congo and Cameroon) began the month of October with two major celebrations: namely, the perpetual profession and the diaconal ordinations of Brothers Baudelaire Koubemba Benazo, sss, and Christ Gabriel Ngoundiabantou, sss.

I - Perpetual Vows

On Friday, 3 October 2025, in the parish of Saint Benoit at Nganga-Lingolo, these two brothers made their final commitment in our Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the Reverend Father Anaclet Bambala Mazina, sss (Vicar General in charge of Africa and responsible for the Region). In his homily, he focused on the fundamentals of religious life, carefully outlining and presenting very clearly the major aspects of consecrated life.

The Reverend Father Jean de Dieu Passy, sss (the Regional Superior), for his part had the distinct honour of receiving the vows of Brothers Baudelaire and Christ in the presence of other confreres.

II - Diaconal Ordinations

On Sunday, 5 October 2025, at the Marian square of the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Brazzaville, these two brothers received diaconal ordination from His Excellency Monsignor Bienvenu Manamika, Metropolitan Archbishop of Brazzaville.

These two events were a time of grace for the Region. They were experienced in an atmosphere of joy, jubilation, and fraternity. It should also be noted that these two celebrations coincided with the canonical visit of the Father Vicar General.
