I am sharing the call that I am preparing for the laity to form associates and to begin our journey as the Corpus Christi Community. On February the 3rd, we held our first community meeting with all the brothers present.
Father Wilmer Gómez, who will be collaborating in the parish, joined us to learn about the parish dynamics, meetings, and support groups. He will participate in the Mass from Monday to Saturday at the Servants of Jesus at 7 a.m. The parish celebrations will be presided over by the brothers who make up the community.
Regarding the parish groups, Father Wilmer will provide Scriptural and Eucharistic spirituality formation on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I will also accompany the Éfeta and Revolución Juvenil groups. I will continue to work diligently to support the lay group, vocation ministry, and social ministry in the Ensueño neighbourhood and the La Casita home for senior citizens in central Bogotá. On February 7th, we will hold our first Parish Council meeting with the group delegates, with a view to reviewing the parish’s progress in the new year of 2025.
I am part of a group focused on communication, comprising eight people with three roles: 1. coordinator and content creator, 2. editor, and 3. Social network support. I have already organized a schedule for this year to help us with the laity and for vocation ministry. You will soon know about it. I will dedicate all my heart and effort to working with the laity and vocation ministry, as the person responsible for it. "Live your vocation fully as a Blessed Sacrament religious."
I will inform you of all the work being done to promote the vocation apostolate. I invite everyone to contribute their part in this field.
For lay people preparing to commit themselves by the pledge of becoming part of the Aggregation, I offer three areas of reflection:
- Fridays around 6:45 pm, an hour at the feet of Jesus in the Eucharist, in the Parish Oratory.
- Mondays from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, Eucharistic spirituality and the life of Saint Peter Julian Eymard.
- The Life Project of the "Aggregation" and life of service.
Those who participate up to the first days of August will formally make their Consecration and membership in the Aggregation of Lay People of the Blessed Sacrament. I wish everyone much success.
