In the spirit of unity and shared purpose, the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament (SSS) General Council and Provincial/Regional Superiors will convene remotely from November 25 to November 29, 2024, for an enriching formation session. Conducted via Zoom, these sessions will run from 12:00 to 15:00 Rome time, inviting participants to deepen their understanding of the SSS charism, the insights of the Founder, and key orientations in administration.
This gathering exemplifies the SSS community’s spirit, bridging linguistic and cultural boundaries to foster a shared vision and mission. Interpretation will be available in English, French, and Spanish, facilitated by experienced translators who will ensure clear and empathetic communication, enabling each voice to be fully heard and understood.
Each day of the gathering has been thoughtfully structured to harmonize reflection, interaction, and collective insight. Presentations will be delivered by SSS speakers renowned for their profound understanding and dedication to the congregation’s spirituality and mission, providing valuable insights to inspire and inform. Following each presentation, participants will engage in group and assembly discussions, fostering thoughtful exchange and drawing together the diverse voices and unique contributions of the SSS community.

- Monday, November 25: Fr. Hans van Schijndel will illuminate the SSS Charism, exploring its spiritual and communal dimensions. This session sets an inspiring foundation for the week.
- Tuesday, November 26: Fr. Fiorenzo Salvi will explore the Legacy of the Founder and His Writings, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of Founder P.J. Eymard, his spirituality, and his writings.
- Wednesday, November 27: Focusing on the essential topic of Safeguarding (vade-mecum), Fr. Mike Garcia will discuss the sacred responsibility of protecting vulnerable individuals and minors, presenting a practical protocol aligned with Church standards to support administration at various levels.
- Thursday, November 28: Fr. Manuel Barbiero will lead participants in reflecting on Aggregates, one of the four branches of the Eymardian family. This session will encourage participants to commit themselves further to supporting this SSS lay association.
- Friday, November 29: Concluding the week, Bp. Eugenio Barbosa Martins will share insights on Administration, drawing on his experience as a provincial and former superior general. His presentation will address the practicalities essential for both general and provincial levels.
