The Commission of Studies on the Founder and his Work (CEFO) had its meeting on 11-13 November 2019 at the General House in Rome. The Commission welcomed the presence of a new member, Mrs. Anne Marie Françoise Ndoye from Senegal, representing the Aggregation of the Blessed Sacrament. The other members who were present are: Fr. Fiorenzo Salvi sss, Fr. Manuel Barbiero sss, Fr. Vergel Dalangin sss, Fr. Thadée Mupapa sss, Sr. Maria Hue sss, and Ms. Mary Keane. This time, however, Fr. André Guitton sss could not be present due to some important commitments. Father José Antonio Rivera Ruiz sss, general consultor in-charge of the commission and the Superior General, Fr. Eugenio Barbosa Martins sss, took part in the meeting.
This year’s meeting continued to focus on the themes of Father Eymard’s writings and preachings on the important liturgical seasons and also on the principal feast of Our Lord, the Virgin Mary, St Joseph, the angels, apostles, martyrs, etc., keeping in mind their relevance and usefulness for our present time. The commission hopes to realize the publication of two books on the said subjects within a few years.
