Communication from the General Council

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

By the decree of Father Superior General on June 23, 2019, Father Joseph Le Huu Phuoc sss is designated as Procurator General succeeding Father Carlo Vassalli sss. His office officially starts on the same day, the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

We are very grateful to Fr. Carlo Vassalli sss for these years of dedicated services as procurator general. His tireless collaboration gave the general administration support that guaranteed us to be always safe in the referrals to the Holy See. The testimony of joy and availability very much motivated us to carry out our mission together. His service has helped us to give the best solutions to particular and special questions encountered by many of our brothers. We ask the Good God, through the intercession of St. Peter Julian Eymard, to grant him great health to continue to live his consecration as a true gift to the Lord in the Eucharist.

Father Phuoc was born on June 17, 1983, at Bien Hoa, Dong Nai, Vietnam. He made his first profession in the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament on August 1, 2008, and was ordained priest on May 30, 2016. In 2016-2017, he studied French in Dakar, Senegal. Father Phuoc arrived at the Generalate in Rome on July 29, 2018, and began working with Fr Carlo as assistant archivist and assistant procurator.
